Festive Navruz Celebration
On March 20, 2025, a festive event dedicated to the International Day of Navruz was held in the conference hall of the State Educational Institution “Institute for Postgraduate Training of Healthcare Workers of the Republic of Tajikistan.”
The session was opened by presenters from among the institute’s residents, who spoke about Navruz and its significance, reciting poems from both classical and contemporary poets. The first speech was given by the rector of the institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Muhabbatzoda Jiënkhon Qurbon.
The rector spoke about how Navruz has transformed from a national holiday into a global celebration and highlighted the initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, regarding the globalization of Navruz and its traditions.
Following this, the presenters gave the floor to the Vice-Rector of the institute, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Zариф Шарипович Сафаров. He spoke about how Navruz was celebrated as early as three thousand years ago by King Jamshid and congratulated the audience on the occasion.
After that, the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Qualification Improvement, Sharifzoda Sabzaali, addressed the audience. He congratulated everyone on the Navruz holiday, wishing them prosperity and abundance. He also quoted the words of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon: “The foundation of Tajik self-awareness rests on two pillars—our native language and the celebration of Navruz.”
Additionally, he recited Navruz-themed poems from famous poets.
In the cultural part of the event, the presenters invited the institute’s professor, Saodat Rahimova, to deliver a congratulatory speech. She extended her greetings and recited a ghazal in honor of Navruz.
Afterward, clinical residency students from the Departments of Pediatric Diseases and Endocrinology performed a special Navruz-themed artistic composition, delighting the audience with dances, songs, and traditional scenes.
At the end of the event, the institute’s rector awarded certificates of appreciation to employees.
