Mukhabatzoda Jiyonkhon Kurbon

AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Mukhabatzoda Jiyonkhon Kurbon was born on August 12, 1967, in Hamadoni district, Republic of Tajikistan, in a family of employees. From 1974 to 1984, he studied at a secondary school. In 1984, he entered the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, which he graduated from in 1992 with a degree in General Surgery.

After graduating from university, from 1992 to 1993, he worked as a surgical intern at the Department of General Surgery No.1 of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino. From 1993 to 2003, he worked as a surgeon in the surgical department of City Clinical Hospital No.5 named after academician K.T. Tojiyev.

From 2003 to 2007, he held the position of Head of the Coloproctology Department at City Clinical Hospital No.5. Simultaneously, from 2001 to 2015, he was an assistant professor at the Department of General Surgery No.1 of the Tajik State Medical University.

From 2015 to 2017, he was the Head of the Department of General Surgery No.1 at the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali Ibn Sino, and from 2017 to 2019, he served as the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the same university. From 2019 to 2020, he was the Head of the Academic Department at this educational institution.

From January 2, 2020, to February 18, 2020, he was the Head of the Educational and Methodological Department of TSMU. From February 18, 2020, to December 16, 2024, he worked as Vice-Rector for Science and Publications at the Tajik State Medical University. Since December 16, 2024, he has been serving as the Rector of the State Educational Institution “Institute of Postgraduate Education in the Field of Healthcare of the Republic of Tajikistan” (SEI IPEFH RT).

Since March 2017, he has been a professor at the Department of General Surgery No.1 at the Tajik State Medical University.

Mukhabatzoda Jiyonkhon Kurbon holds the academic title of Professor and a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree. He has been awarded state honors, including the Order of Sharaf, 2nd degree.
